ToggleWHAT HAPPENED?
Parkinson revealed that Luke Bolton, who has been on the treatment table for much of the season with a foot injury, is now back in training and could make his League One debut in the near future. Another key player nearing his return is 22-year-old centre-back Max Cleworth. He damaged his ankle ligament during Wrexham’s stalemate against Leyton Orient on September 28, but the injury turned out to be less severe than had been anticipated.

WHAT PARKINSON SAID
"The squad is looking strong and we need everybody for the week ahead," Parkinson told reporters.
"Max is making good progress. He is back on the grass this week but we will know more over the next three or four days how quickly that progress is going to be. Luke is back in training which is great. He has had a problem with his foot but he did a lot of running last week and he has now joined in fully with the lads."

THE BIGGER PICTURE
While the news is positive for Bolton and Cleworth, midfielder George Evans will face a longer spell on the sidelines. Evans sustained ankle ligament damage himself in a 1-0 loss to Stevenage on October 1, and Parkinson confirmed that his recovery will take time. "George is going to be long-term," the manager said.
Wrexham are also expected to welcome back Jacob Mendy over the weekend. He missed Gambia’s African Nations Cup qualifiers against Madagascar and the international break helped him step up his recovery.

WHAT NEXT FOR WREXHAM?
Wrexham return to the pitch this weekend against Rotherham United on October 19. Following that game, they will face Huddersfield just three days later at the Racecourse and will end the week with an away game against Charlton – effectively playing three games in eight days.
